Position Overview :
As the Automotive License and Title Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing the processing of vehicle titles and registrations.
Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to navigate complex paperwork will ensure our customers receive their documentation promptly and correctly, contributing to their overall satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Process all new and used vehicle titles and registrations accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare and submit necessary documentation to local and state agencies for vehicle registration.
Review sales documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with state regulations.
Maintain an organized system for tracking pending titles and registration documentation.
Communicate with customers, finance departments, and state agencies to resolve any title issues.
Process vehicle trade-ins and ensure the transfer of titles.
Prepare title documents for auctions and wholesale sales.
Stay informed on state licensing and titling laws to ensure compliance.
Provide support to the finance and sales departments as needed.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications in related fields are a plus.
Previous experience in a dealership setting, specifically with title and registration processing, is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of state-specific licensing and titling procedures.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in processing paperwork.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Proficient in using dealership management software and office applications.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
