Corporate Used Truck Manager

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck Dealership and Leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Corporate Used Truck Manager. This role will provide corporate staff support to the Dealership Used Truck Departments to ensure the overall growth and profit objectives are achieved. Assists in the evaluation of the department’s results and performance against objectives. Assists in all retail picing and sales objectives to help maximize gross profit in MHC dealerships. Maintains the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving the branches and identifying their needs.

• Assists in evaluating Used Truck Departments’ performance against establish target and standards; communicates appropriate action to Branch Manager and respective Vice President & General Manager as necessary.
• Maintains consistency in pricing on all advertising platforms with regard to current inventory and past sales verses the competition in the industry.
• Analyzes sales data verses current inventory to make sure turns and days supply on all used truck inventory are within standard. Additionally, analyzes external market and internal retail pricing to maximize profit margin objectives.
• Builds and maintains reporting to manage and provide data on the above objectives.
• Maintains contact with Branch Manager/Used Truck Managers and their sales staff to better understand customer requirements. Keeps current on market and customer trends to fulfill demand and help balance used truck inventories.
• Provides input and direction regarding marketing programs and assists with their implementation.
• Helps in the management of Used Truck related programs such as external warranties, award programs, and UT sales incentive programs when applicable.
• Works with Used Truck Managers and sales staff on marketing techniques to increase retail sales.
• Develops and conducts training classes and webinars on Used Truck and sales related topics.
• Thorough understanding of MHC’s used truck market value matrix, MHC used truck appraisal process, its purpose, and how it works.
• Stays familiar with the activities of the competition and used truck market trends, demands, and values.
• Establishes and maintains satisfactory relations with outside wholesalers and dealers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Sales and/or sales management experience in truck dealership preferred.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring and developing of qualified sales personnel preferred.
• Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Must be able to create and maintain a team environment focused on goal achievement.
