Job Description
Murphy Jewelers is seeking an experienced, qualified jeweler to join our our 100 year old family business. We're proud to offer three store locations in Eastern Pennsylvania. We started in Downtown Pottsville all the way back in 1913, and have since opened two more remarkable storefronts in Hamburg, PA (across from Cabela's) and the Lehigh Valley Mall in Whitehall, PA.
This bench jeweler position would be located in our Hamburg, PA jewelry store.
Job Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bench jeweler is a must
- Proficiency in jewelry repair and restoration
- Extensive experience in basic to intermediate bench work, including sizing, re-tipping, stone setting, soldering, polishing, plating, etc
- Experience working in platinum, palladium, all karats gold, and silver
- Basic custom jewelry design
- Ability to work on laser welder
- Maintain consistent, high quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet timelines, some of which may be urgent
