GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Learning and Development Specialist will be responsible for supporting the overall training programs that include internal development, new development & process improvement programs for Murphy USA employees. Additionally, this role will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of learning opportunities across the organization to ensure the maximum effectiveness of the company's efforts. This role is critical to our organization as it promotes the development of our most important asset, our talent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design, develop and coordinate the presentation of training and development programs for Murphy USA employees in the area of functional training, compliance and professional development to drive company initiatives and key performance indicators.
2. Implement programs and initiatives for Murphy USA.
3. Utilize a variety of the training methods, techniques, concepts, learning tools, and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programs.
4. Monitor and measure effectiveness of training programs.
5. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
