What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intermittent Driver position at Murray Ridge Center?
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum:
High school diploma or GED. Must be able to properly secure wheelchairs for transport and store consumer belongings.
Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license, an insured personal vehicle and a good driving record. Must possess or be able to obtain Ohio DODD Registered Adult Services certification. Must possess or obtain and maintain current First Aid and CPR certification.
Must be able to meet all requirements and obtain all certificates required to perform the job or any aspect of the job and to access funding for performance of any aspect of the job.
Preferred:
Education/training beyond high school, especially in the field of DD. Experience in direct care service, i.e., nursing home, school, OVC. Experience in transportation of individuals with disabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide transportation to eligible individuals of the Lorain County Board of DD to and from their homes and community employment sites per established schedules.
Provide necessary services associated with consumers transported as indicated per the Individual Service Plan (ISP).
Assist consumers on and off vehicles. Monitor safety of consumers.
NORMAL WORKING HOURS:
Generally during the day, on an as-needed basis.
HOURLY PAY RATE:
$12.50
