Pay Rate: $60.00/HR W2

Hours: Full time, M-F, 8am-5pm

Location: 9811 Katy Frwy, Houston, TX 77024 – Hybrid

Duration: 3-month contract

Description:

• EPC estimating of industrial capital projects with an understanding of and focus on estimating
• construction activities.
• Actively perform construction estimating via self-creation of material quantities, or verification
• and use of engineering-developed quantities.
• Very frequent use of AspenTech Capital Cost Estimator and In Plant Cost Estimator to develop
• civil, mechanical, and Electrical and Instrumentation overall construction estimates.
• Be very familiar with obtaining wage rate information and how to develop all-in rates for
• construction, as well as determining preliminary productivity factors based on type of work and
• location / environment (union vs open shop as an example)
• Develop and approve estimating plan and time to develop estimates.
• Develop, review & approve revisions of Basis of Estimate.
• Understand and stay informed on the use and development of E&C estimating techniques, tools
• and formats.
• Optimize estimating methods and tools and update procedures and training material.
• Recommend necessary modifications in estimating strategies as needed.
• Be the focal point in the development of capital estimates (ISBL/BOP/OSBL/Owner’s Cost) and
• develop networking accordingly with the AL business lines/operations (Airgas, ALLIUS, H2E US,
• EL US, GM&T).
• Validate estimates input and output deliverables, as well as final capital estimates.
• Lead scope clarifications with regards to estimating with both internal and external customers.
• Actively collaborate on competitiveness reviews, such as risk and benchmarking analysis, ensure
• they are performed in a timely manner (in support of management reviews).
• Proactively seek market information.
• Be able to present and defend work to multiple parties and organizations within and external to
• Air Liquide.
• Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines; ability to multitask.

Skills:

• We are looking for 3-5 years’ experience overall but with a good 2-3 years preferably with AspenTech Capital Cost Estimator.
• We have a specific need for industrial construction estimating ability.
• 4-year university degree and/or relevant experience.
