The Musco Marketing Team is currently seeking a Writer to work from our Oskaloosa office. This position will focus on maintaining a program of continuous communication for both internal and external communications, that is viewed as valuable from their unique perspectives. What you will do as a Writer:
- Planning: Work with the team to develop creative strategies and ideas to support Musco’s business goals.
- Writing: Develop core communication components and adapt those messages to a variety of audiences and delivery systems. May write customer and sales letters, web stories, industry articles, scripts, press releases, sales brochure copy, white papers, speeches, social media posts, direct mail messaging, and other promotional material. Assist with writing and editing historical and educational materials.
- Analyzing: Review marketplace and promotion trends, customer feedback, and other data regarding the marketing of products and services. Obtain additional project-specific background through research and interviews. Evaluate the success of completed communications efforts.
- Mentoring: Assist others within the marketing group with editing and developing messages and communication styles that contribute to the goals of campaigns and the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you need to be successful:
- A degree in business, English, communications, journalism with 1 years of related training and or experience.
- Passion for creativity and an exceptional gift for writing.
- Proven record of developing and implementing communication campaigns.
- Collaborate as part of a team to define and pursue opportunities
- Ability to clarify issues and persuade others through writing
- Willing to roll your sleeves up and get the job done.
- Basic understanding of research, promotion, and advertising
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
