What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swiss CNC Machinist position at MW Industries?
Job Summary:
Operate and setup CNC Swiss Machines to fabricate production parts.
Reporting To:
Production Manager
Essential Job Functions
- Operates and sets up CNC Swiss machines.
- Appropriately modify or edit programs.
- Make appropriate offsets and adjust tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints as needed.
- Properly use calipers, veneers, and thread gauges.
- Properly and safely load and unload machines.
- Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machines.
- Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Utilize and abide by all safety procedures.
- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Skills and Abilities
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbal and written
- Problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail with precision equipment and products
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required. State Apprentice Program Certification in CNC a plus
- 5 years as setup and operator experience in CNC Swiss machining (citizen or stars).
- Ability to hold tight tolerances.
Physical Requirements
- Required to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods of time.
