MWH Constructors, a global leader in heavy civil construction of water and wastewater facilities, is seeking a Project Controller to support project work in Texas. The ideal candidate must have the necessary experience and complimentary skill set in both cost controls and scheduling. This position may be based at one of our projects in Dallas or Austin or at our corporate headquarters near Denver, CO.

Essential Functions
Cost Controls
- Evaluate and adjust data regarding project cost forecasts, resource requirements, commitment data and productivity variance reports.
- Regularly manage all cost functions of the project’s Project Management Information System.
- Assist the Project Manager with managing the project change management process. Work with team members to prepare and facilitate delivery of all necessary scope change notice and cost documents to client for approval.
- Prepare monthly billings to client based on costs incurred.
- Develop and prepare both internal and external monthly project progress summary reports.
- Assist Project Manager in writing, distributing, and managing Subcontracts and Purchase Agreements.
- Develop budgets, cash flow projections, and any project-specific reports, tools, or spreadsheets.
- Interface and maintain liaison with project management, client, home office, and other consultants on all project cost-related topics.
- Assist with establishing, implementing, and documenting job-specific project controls standards.
- Assist in the collection, filing, and turnover of all project documents and contracts.
Scheduling
- Develop accurate schedules using industry best practices and insight from project team members.
- Update project schedules in accordance with company procedures and industry best practices. Communicate results to project team and suggest action when necessary.
- Manage project change regarding the project schedule. Review changes for possible impacts to the project duration and prepare change notices as required by contract.
- Review project schedules for compliance with company procedures, contract requirements and industry best practices. Recommend corrective action where necessary.
- Develop and execute monthly schedule reports for project and management use.
Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science or higher university degree in Business, Construction Management, or Engineering. An equivalent combination of experience, skills and training may be considered.
- 5-10 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and or cost engineering within a construction environment.
- Exposure to project accounting and general financial management, document management, and project compliance processes & audits.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other normal business applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CMiC.
- Currently hold or pursuing professional certification (•Certified Cost Consultant (CCC); Certified Cost Engineer (CCE); Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP); Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP); or Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP).
