At My Guys Moving & Storage, we value our drivers for their strong work ethic and professional manner. In this challenging position, you will perform moving functions in addition to driving, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our products to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive single vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) up to 26,000 pounds
- Load and unload freight using proper freight handling equipment
- Ensure load contents are securely packed and organized
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
- Perform regular inspections and necessary vehicle maintenance
- Follow delivery and rest schedules as required by DOT
- Maneuver and park large trucks or buses
- Navigate routes with GPS or other routing systems
- Practice safe driving techniques
- Comply with driver and vehicle DOT regulations
- Utilize basic technology
Qualifications
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Pass a background check, drug screen, and driving record check
- Maintain a regular and dependable attendance record
- Be able to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to operate an electric lift, hand truck, and pallet jack is preferred but not required
- Follow the My Guys Policies and Procedures for drivers
