About the role
As Internal Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in driving associate and doctor engagement while providing timely, relevant information and insights about the business and the MyEyeDr. Purpose, Promise, Vision and Values. This role will report to the Director, Field Communications.
This is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of our Vienna, VA office.

You Will

• Write, edit, produce, and manage distribution of internal communications content (e.g., intranet content, announcements, presentations, video scripts).
• Use internal channels to maximize internal communication effectiveness and ensure consistent messaging, branding, imagery, and identity.
• Support and manage the delivery of weekly field communication cascades.
• Manage content for company intranet pages; partner with key stakeholders to maintain and update document libraries and resources.
• Provide communications support to various company functions assisting with the development and conceptualization of campaigns, communications strategies, all-hands meetings, and ongoing communications support.
• Proofread and edit communications and deliver through the appropriate communication method based on the message, audience, timing, and desired outcome.
• Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of internal employee events and meetings as needed and appropriate.
• Develop surveys and metrics reports to measure the impact of internal communications.
• Maintain a working knowledge of external market and industry best practices.

About You

• Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• 2 years dedicated experience in internal and/or corporate communications.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Graphic design skills and experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other design programs.
• Passion for company culture and creating a unique and differentiated employee experience.
• Experience in leveraging communications technology platforms to deliver compelling communications content.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly effective at distilling complex and sometimes voluminous content into clear, concise, and engaging communications.
• Ability to showcase time management and organizational skills.
• Self-driven, proactive style, with the ability to work quickly and independently.
