Job Introduction BBC Radio Humberside serves people in East Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire. This is a news reading job across several programmes on the station. It will involve sourcing, writing, editing and reading news and sports bulletins live on air.
Main Responsibilities
As our weekend bulletin reader you would have the opportunity to be creative and shape out news and sport bulletin content on a Saturday and Sunday.
You would be responsible for editorial over the weekend and liaise with our colleagues online and on TV about any breaking stories.
You should have experience of reading bulletins and be able to write clear and concise copy with strong local top lines.
You would also be expected to react to any breaking news over the weekend and ensure that it is reflected on our Breakfast programme on Monday.
You would have Friday to plan, prep and contribute to the wider newsroom effort.
