About the role:

Mynd is looking to hire an entrepreneurial, analytical, and motivated leader to cultivate business with the intent of securing financing and long term relationships in the single family rental space. This leader will manage a growing team of analysts and associates as owner of several relationships and financing strategies.   Our ideal fit will have a strong background in business and team building, with the capability to lead a wide scope of functions.

This role reports to the Head of Capital Marketing on our Mynd Investment Management team. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Act as intermediary between lenders and borrowers 
  • Ownership of of warehouse and perm financing solutions for institutional partners
  • Lead deal structuring, negotiating, legal, hedging and closing on various types of asset financing transactions
  • Run draw process for financing based on strategic goals of investors and forecasted closings on new assets
  • Develop reporting and asset management analysis in conjunction with the IT team to create ongoing automation of reporting and analysis
  • Interface with internal senior management and external investors on a day to day basis 
  • Manage and utilize market knowledge and prepare various comparables for all planned transactions
  • Assist brokerage department with debt placement
  • Maintain relationships across debt providers to meet short and long term needs of investors
  • Review internal and external collateral materials, proofreads content, ensures appropriate branding, and approves materials for final distribution
  • Able to work independently as well as providing leadership and directing efforts of team members

Who you are:

  • Experienced SFR leader
  • Excellent organizational, time management and follow-up skills
  • Excellent quantitative skills
  • Familiarity with financial modeling/underwriting 
  • Ability to interface with high profile institutional investors
  • Previous experience supporting investment funds and warehouse financing
  • Extreme attention to detail and high degree of ownership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bias toward action; self-driven and intrinsically motivated with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • High degree of comfort with change, technology and ambiguity
  • Experience working in a high-tempo, high-growth, team-oriented organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
  • 10 years of investment banking and/or capital market experience
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter with the capacity to work independently 
  • Solid analytical and negotiating skills
