What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician Assistant position at Myojo USA?
This role is a key position within our manufacturing plant and supports operations by efficiently managing one’s schedule. Individuals must prioritize safety for themselves and others. An effective quality control individual must have a heavy presence on the floor to periodically check weights and observe any irregularities, aside from any other assigned duties. We strive for the highest safety, quality, and efficiency standards. This position is exposed to both refrigerated and non-refrigerated areas throughout our facility. Bi-lingual English and Spanish candidates are a plus.
- Responsible for quality and safety of raw material, packaging material, and finished goods.
- Maintain product specifications including verifying labels, weights, and code dates
- Train employees on topics such as food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and the company’s quality system.
- Oversee the cGMPs on the production floor and ensure the personnel on the production floor maintain the good practices.
- Knowledge of all plant processes and regulatory constraints.
- Working knowledge of how to manage and verify CCP’s controls.
- Safe food handling is a must.
- Work with QA & QC for CDPH Cannery Inspection Program product release and overhaul.
- Maintain a clean manufacturing environment and laboratory.
- Maintain retain samples.
- Backup for QC Technicians for line checks.
- Conduct daily in-house sensory testing.
- Monitor Cooler and Freezer Temperatures.
- Calibrate equipment used throughout the facility.
- Provide support during 3rd party audits.
- Perform pre-operation inspections, set-up and during operations.
- Familiar with ATP and allergen swabbing.
- Excellent punctuality and attendance is a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication is a must.
- Problem solving and root cause analysis.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- General good housekeeping.
Job Requirements:
- Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Willingness and ability to work in wet, ambient, hot to cold environments.
- Must have experience working independently.
- Previous plant operations knowledge is preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous knowledge of inline testing and sampling is preferred.
- Should be able to work long hours and able to work overtime when required, as per the business needs.
- PPE’s are required.
- Safety conscious individual.
- Should have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to lift to 30 pounds infrequently.
- Detail orientated, self-starter, and punctual.
- Above average mathematical skills.
Plant requirements:
- Face mask, hairnet, smock, and safety shoes are to be always worn, while inside of plant.
- Temperature check at each shift.
- Mask is given to employees and required.
- Face shield to those applicable positions.
