SUMMARY:
The Associate Director, Information Management will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction on cross-functional integrated systems initiatives that enable MyoKardia to meet business and financial goals via effective use of high-quality information.
This position will be responsible for architecting and building the information management ecosystem used to manage data related to Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Clinical, Finance, Pharmacovigilance, etc. This includes the planning, designing, and implementation of Master Data Management, Data Warehouse, and Business Intelligence Reporting solutions based on industry best practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop vision and strategic roadmap for Information Management (IM), Master Data Management (MDM), Commercial/Non-Commercial Data Warehouse, and Business Intelligence Reporting platforms
- Plan, design, and implement Information Management strategy using 3rd party cloud partners or on-premise solutions
- Establish and maintain outstanding working relations with internal business functions (Market Access, Commercial Analytics, Medical, etc.)
- Establish industry best practices in the area of Information Management, Data Warehousing, Master Data Management, and BI Reporting.
- Create and implement internal Information and Data Management guidelines and policies.
- Lead large cross-functional programs to develop and implement critical information services
- Together with compliance, establish guidelines and policies to ensure best information and data management practices with existing healthcare and government regulations.
- Own end-to-end responsibility for all reporting platforms, information management stores, and related data integration processes.
- Vendor management of 3rd party Data Aggregator, SPs, and other data providers
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years relevant experience; equivalent combination of advanced degree and less experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Experience in one or more of the disciplines of Data Warehousing, Business intelligence, Master Data Management, Data Aggregator, and Aggregate Spend required
- Experience with MDM solutions such as Veeva Network, Reltio, Informatica, etc. highly desirable
- Experience with BI reporting solutions such as Tableau, QlickView, Cognos, etc.
- Managing external cloud vendors providing MDM, DW, BI, and Data Aggregator support desired
- Understanding of Pharmaceutical Industry and Specialty Pharmacy dispensed drugs highly desirable
- Excellent planning skills with the ability to provide an organized approach to leading Information Management projects and activities
- Excellent presentation, communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical, executive audience
- Experience in designing and implementing large, complex information systems highly preferred
Technical Skills:
- Ability to architect MDM, Data Warehouse, and/or Reporting solutions
- Understanding star schema data models, ETL platforms, database administration required
- Ability to generate complex ad-hoc SQL queries is desired
- Ability to update Tableau, QlikView, Crystal reports is desired
