James Beard award-winning chef Paul Berglund is looking for Support Team Members for his Ada restaurant. This position includes food running, bussing, and hosting. Myrth is driven and inspired by the seasons and the food grown by our West Michigan farmers. This is a gathering place, instilled with a casual sophistication and warm Midwestern hospitality. What you’ll do:
The Support position is responsible for providing excellence in hospitality. This includes:
- Understand and uphold Myrth’s Purpose and Principles. Carry yourself in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
- Complete all functions associated with supporting the guest experience, including but not limited to assisting with table clearing and resetting, running food and beverages, stocking work stations, emptying bus tubs, washing bar glassware, answering phones, escorting guests to tables, etc.
- Know, understand, and execute all of Myrth’s service standards.
- Know, understand, and uphold Myrth’s high standards and procedures for food and beverage safety and sanitation.
- Prep and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized dining room floor and workstations.
- Thoroughly clean tables, chairs, workstations, work surfaces, equipment, floors, and any other items inside and outside of the restaurant as necessary.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with guests.
- Build strong, professional, and respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete daily opening and closing procedures.
- Complete daily/weekly cleaning tasks.
What we need from you:
- 1 year of experience in customer service, restaurant industry preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- A warm, friendly, and positive personality
- A passion for hospitality and the restaurant industry as a whole
