Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Helper to assist our team of sheet metal workers in the fabrication, installation, and repair of sheet metal products. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with hand and power tools, read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, and have experience working with sheet metal materials.
Responsibilities:
- Assist sheet metal workers with the fabrication, installation, and repair of sheet metal products.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and bend sheet metal as required.
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to technical drawings and blueprints.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Set up and operate equipment such as shears, saws, and drills to prepare sheet metal for use.
- Assist with the installation of sheet metal products on job sites, including ductwork, roofs, and siding.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience working with sheet metal materials.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift and move heavy materials.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Applicant requirements:
- Must have a clean background.
- Must pass a drug screen.
- Valid driver's license or state issues ID.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.75 - $16.00 per hour
