Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and train employees, answer questions, provide coaching, and issue discipline as needed.
- Set clear expectations for all employees and perform random inspections to ensure the quality of parts produced.
- Ensure employees are punctual and present at their designated equipment.
- Monitor and evaluate production rates, adjusting processes or rates as necessary to optimize performance.
- Pursue optimization of earned hours and monitor work areas to enforce safety regulations.
- Develop new processes to save time, material, and money, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with management to resolve employee problems, complaints, or grievances.
- Hold accountability for shift performance, including quality, earned hours, and adherence to the production schedule.
- E-mail daily results to the President, Production Manager, and Production Planner.
- Work with engineering, maintenance, and human resources to support continuous improvement and staffing requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing, particularly with tubing and bending equipment.
- Proven leadership skills and experience.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
