NACDD’s core membership is composed of 59 state and territorial health department chronic disease directors and their staff who protect the health of the public through primary and secondary prevention efforts and work “upstream” on root causes of chronic conditions. In addition, NACDD unites 7,000 chronic disease professionals across the United States working in state, tribal, and territorial health departments, nonprofits, academia, and the private industry to promote health and to reduce the burden of chronic disease. POSITION SUMMARY
The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our organization as Center Administrator to support our Center for Public Health Leadership with various administrative tasks.
Reporting directly to the VP, Center for Public Health Leadership, the Center Administrator will execute a variety of administrative and project-based tasks as requested. Examples include managing multiple filing systems, planning and executing meetings, taking meeting minutes, preparing materials, coordinating work streams, plus additional administrative tasks and projects as requested to support the community of practice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Support administrative needs of multiple programs, including scheduling, coordinating, and managing multiple calendars, organizing, arranging, and setting up program technology for virtual connections (i.e., Zoom, etc.) and follow-ups on action items, etc.;
• Prepare meeting notes and summary memos;
• Manage Zoom logistics and host technical production for webinars and virtual meetings;
• Manage logistics and materials for in-person meetings;
• Manage and maintain all program documentation and electronic files in Dropbox, Smartsheet, Google Drive, and Outlook;
• Update webpages and maintain web-based resource library;
• Support CPHL staff with preparing contract requests, budget reports, and project management tracking;
• Assist with development and submission of program reports;
• Ensure consistent communication with the Center team and NACDD Senior Leadership;
• Independently create well-organized, grammatically correct memos, reports, and communications;
• Assume other duties as assigned and perform special projects as needed or directed.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
• A bachelor’s degree (ideally in public health, public health administration, business degree or related field), plus at least three (3) years of experience;
• Candidates with a minimum of four (4) years of proven and related work experience, along with college credits earned toward a baccalaureate degree in a related field may be considered;
• Proficient knowledge of MS Suite, Zoom hosting, Adobe Acrobat, and Dropbox;
• Knowledge and experience with telecommunications and web-based platforms;
• Strong project management, prioritization, and planning skills, with demonstrated success producing high-quality deliverables on time;
• High degree of tact, diplomacy, and confidence to interact with senior leaders and the ability to remain calm when under pressure;
• Excellent customer service and ability to maintain high-level of professionalism and integrity when working with diverse collaborators and customers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
• Proficiency in LMS platform navigation (ex. Docebo) and Smartsheet preferred;
• Experience working with and as part of remote teams preferred.
LOCATION:
• REMOTE- Must be located in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, or Washington;
• HYBRID- All Atlanta-based employees will be required to work in the HQ office on a hybrid schedule, beginning January 2024.

SALARY RANGE:
• $55,620 - $66,745
