As Benefits Specialist you will assist with the development, implementation and administration of cost-effective benefits programs, such as pension plans, life, health and disability insurance. You will be a part of Nasdaq’s Global Total Rewards team, based in our NYC office and report to the Director of Benefits for North America. In this role you will: Play a key role in enhancing the employee experience with regard to benefit programs in North America (US and Canada). This includes developing content for new hire orientations, partnering with external benefit administration partners, assisting employees and leaders with leave of absence requests and a focus on continuous improvement of our processes. • Support the development of analytics that allow the team to monitor compliance, identify enrollment issues and measure the effectiveness of various programs. • Providing information to explain changes in benefits and answering employee queries about benefit policies • Responsible for data necessary to complete government compliance activities and internal audits • Assist with the development/review of Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), benefit summaries and booklets • Work with the benefits team to develop and implement new benefit programs. The best suited candidate will have: 2-3 years of experience with administration of US employee benefit and leave of absence programs. Experience with Canadian benefit programs is a plus Demonstrated analytic proficiency (Excel) and development of engaging presentations (PowerPoint) Understanding of state and local laws governing leave such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA to ensure compliance Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations regarding the processing of health and welfare benefits Bachelor’s degree Our team environment is truly global, fast paced and open to innovation. The base pay range for this role is $53,600 - $89,300. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth.
