Intern - Energy Analysis
Summary:
Energy Analysis Intern to support our team in analyzing our facility and equipment power energy consumption and identifying cost saving opportunities.
Essential Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of the AC power supply coming into the facility, identifying patterns and fluctuations in power quality, and evaluating its stability and reliability.
- Collect and analyze data on the power consumption of test benches, machinery, and equipment used within the facility. Identify areas of high energy consumption and potential inefficiencies.
- Create clear and concise reports to present your findings and recommendations to the Facilities Management team. Use data visualization tools to communicate complex information effectively.
- Stay updated on energy-saving technologies, trends, and best practices in the field. Suggest innovative solutions to reduce energy consumption and increase sustainability.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, Sustainability, etc.).
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data and statistical analysis tools.
- Familiarity with energy monitoring and data acquisition systems is a plus.
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
- Proficient in MS Office
Pay $16.50-$25.00 per hour (Internship salary is based on position and academic year standing.)
Summer Internships are Full Time Monday-Friday
Flexible schedules for Part Time Fall, Winter and Spring Internships.
All positions are on-site in Bohemia, NY (These are not remote opportunities at this time.)
