Marketing & Event Coordinator

The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) has an opening for a Marketing & Event Coordinator in the Indianapolis, IN office. This position provides administrative and marketing support functions for the Education, Events, & Association Services Department that plans events, seminars, and virtual educational programs, and related events.

 Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

• Supports and coordinates marketing and social media efforts for events, membership activities, certification programs, and association clients.
• Prepares lists and drafts/proofs copy for mailings and electronic promotions, coordinates printed marketing mailings, and provides other marketing-related client support as needed.
• Provides ongoing maintenance and updates for client websites and marketing materials.
• Designs and creates custom marketing and promotional materials including electronic promotions, print materials, event logos, and other items.
• Develops, executes, and evaluates marketing efforts for assigned conference events including writing marketing copy, preparing list requests for mailings, digital promotion, and coordinating event brochure mailings.

Qualifications include:

• Experience in marketing and/or event management is preferred
• Experience in graphic design is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, hospitality, event management, or related business.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe, database management).
• Must be available for occasional overnight travel by car and air, at times including weekends/ nights. This may include independent travel that requires driving and navigating within city, highway, and rural settings.
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable MVR.
