ROLE SUMMARY
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting all accounting and period end cycle activities and will be responsible for all restaurant AP, utility bill processing, and managing house accounts for Nando’s North America.
As with all members of the Nando’s family, the Accounting Clerk will be expected to wear multiple hats, seek out opportunities to make Nando’s and themselves better every day, and in general, be a good team player! The essential functions of this position are mapped out below:
KEY FOCUS AREAS
- Maintain and process all utility bill accounts for North America, as well as month end accruals
- Process weekly restaurant AP
- Maintain and process all house accounts billing
- Assist with period end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with vendor statement reconciliation
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Assist with external audits
- Assist with ad hoc projects or request
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years of previous experience in Operational finance, Accounting and Month-End Cycle
- Strong PC skills, including high competence using MS Excel required.
- Microsoft Great Plains proficiency preferred
- Must be dependable and able to work independently
- Ability to proactively identify problems, develop solutions and act to resolve issues in assigned areas
- Good organizational skills, analytical skills, time management and prioritization abilities.
