- Schedule: Monday-Friday Approx. 30 hours per week (timing is somewhat flexible)

The Family:
This family of three is seeking a fantastic nanny to partner with! The family enjoys an active lifestyle, and they place an emphasis on open communication & discretion. The family splits their time between their home in Washington and their home in California. Their daughter is a cheerful, inquisitive child who loves books, music, and exploring the world in general! Dad works full time and the mother stays at home.
The Job Description:
The nanny will be responsible for ensuring a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for the child throughout the day. In addition to general care, the nanny will be responsible for:
- help to maintain the child’s daily schedule for meals, nap time, etc.
- preparing and providing child’s meals/snacks
- planning/engaging the child in age-appropriate developmental activities both indoors and outdoors
- facilitating nap time
- help mother with all household duties
- helping to keep play areas clean and tidy
- working closely together with the mother to help out around the house as needed (groceries, errands, meal prep, etc)
- daily tidying of any spaces used throughout the day
Nanny Attributes/Qualifications/Requirements:
The family would like to partner with an engaging, active, and nurturing nanny who has at least two years of relevant infant and toddler care experience. They should be a cheerful self-starter and truly enjoy working with children.
The family travels to California and spends time at their home there twice per month typically. Travel happens via a private plane and happens more frequently in the cold, rainy winter months. The family spends more time in California around Thanksgiving (two weeks) and Christmas (the month of December). The family is looking for a nanny who is very flexible and is able to travel their California home with them (sometimes on short notice). This home is located in a beautiful, private community. The family will request their nanny sign a non-disclosure agreement as there are some high-profile individuals in their social circle.
In California, the nanny would have access to guest room accommodations with privacy in their home. The family would appreciate the ability to adjust hours for later evenings or early mornings if they have a social event happening. To note, everyone inside their private community is Covid tested, and the family would ask that their nanny has a Covid test done after any travel or social event they do during downtime.
The nanny should be a non-smoker, hold a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record, be current with all vaccinations including flu and Covid (Pfizer or Moderna), MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Whooping Cough, and be current CPR/First Aid Certification (or willing to update). It is of utmost importance to the family that they partner with a nanny who is exercising a high level of Covid caution, including masking, social distancing, avoiding indoor gatherings, and practicing stellar hand hygiene.
