Seeking a full-time nanny for a family with 2 boys aged 1 and 3 years old. The 3 year old is autistic and requires a caregiver with strong communication and verbal skills to assist with his speech development. The family recently relocated from Houston Tx and is looking for someone who can help them adjust to their new surroundings in Omaha. Ideal candidate is flexible, high-energy, and can bring creative ideas to engage with the children.
- Pay: $25-$30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Guaranteed hours every week
- Must be willing to travel or do overnights as needed for vacation
- Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, 2-4 sick/personal days, major holidays off and paid
- Childcare: Provide attentive and nurturing care for both children, including coordinating age-appropriate activities.
- Meal Prep: Prepare simple meals for the children, such as grilled cheese and pancakes.
- Pick-Up/Drop-Off: Safe and reliable transportation is a must, as you will need to pick up and drop off the children from various activities.
- Light Housekeeping: Assist with light housekeeping related to the children, including tidying up after meals and activities.
- Travel/Overnights: Must be willing to travel occasionally or stay overnight as needed, typically twice a year. A valid passport is preferred, as there may be international travel in the future (e.g., Mexico).
- Swimming: Must have swim experience and First Aid/CPR certification, as we have a pool on the property.
- Previous experience as a nanny or in childcare, particularly with toddlers and special needs children.
- Strong verbal and communication skills, especially to support speech development.
- Must be able to swim and have CPR/First Aid certification.
- Must provide 3-5 professional references.
- Safe and reliable transportation with a valid driver's license. The family will reimburse for any driving-related costs.
- Flexibility and high energy, with a passion for engaging with children through games, crafts, and sensory activities.
- Ability to follow instructions well and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- There is a small Yorkie dog, so you must be comfortable around pets.
- Parking is available, and a car is required for transportation needs.
