What are the responsibilities and job description for the Newborn Care Specialist position at Nanny Poppins Agency?
Newborn Care Specialist needed for first time parents.Ideal candidate has prior experience working with newborns, is an excellent communicator and can help with developmental milestones.
- Pay: $30-$40 per hour
- Start date: July 15th, 3 month position
- flexibility to begin 1-2 weeks earlier if the baby arrives sooner
- Hours: 24/7 7 days a week for the first month, overnights for the remainder 2 months (12 hour shifts like 7pm-7am)
- Live-in accommodations: separate bedroom and bathroom for the NCS and the baby
- Assist with sleep training
- Monitor resting hours by watching and listening for the baby monitor and responding to the child as appropriate
- Ensure feeding supplies are clean and sanitized: bottles, bibs, utensils
- Identify signs of illness or infection
- Bath, change diapers, and provide other basic care to ensure the baby is comfortable and healthy
- Help parents learn methods of caring for their newborn, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and playing with the baby
- Verifiable, long-term experience working with young infants
- Certification in infant first aid and CPR
- Provide 3-5 professional references
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
