Our Technical Service Engineers are closely involved in the support of the world's most technologically advanced inspection and factory control solutions. We are making manufacturing fast, accurate and cost-efficient by combining optical and atomic force microscopy with machine learning and artificial intelligence. The solutions we build push the envelope of what can be done, so we need engineers who are highly intelligent, hardworking and creative. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who work well with in fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.


The Technical Service Engineer will be responsible for the successful installation and support of Nanotronics’ products systems at customer sites. Position duties will include performing system installation, training and technical support of customers’ engineering, development and quality assurance personnel, troubleshooting and coordination of additional Nanotronics’ support resources as required. The Technical Service Engineer must deliver against project milestones, timelines, project plans and other performance targets by timely, efficient, accurate and professional work habits. The Technical Service Engineer must proactively coordinate activities and communications between sites, internal departments and customers.

Requirements

  

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
  • 1-3 years working as a field service engineer required
  • Understanding of modern software applications, automation and microscopy is desired.
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Background in electrical engineering or technology would be preferred.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Install Nanotronics’ products systems at customer sites 
  • Train and support customers’ personnel on Nanotronics’ products operating procedures 
  • Trouble-shoot customers’ issues as required to ensure effective operation of Nanotronics’ products system(s)
  • Produce and maintain proper technical documentation 
  • Develop, implement and maintain appropriate work processes 
  • Communicate effectively between customers and internal team members 
  • Relentlessly implement an accurate, timely and thorough “service ticket” system 

Key Activities 

  • Manage personal and team’s schedule to achieve targets 
  • Refine professional, effective processes in concert with Company’s existing processes 
  • Achieve performance targets as defined by Senior Management 
  • Participate effectively in the communication channel among site staff, sales and marketing departments, other internal departments and customers 
  • Serve as liaison for customer technical troubleshooting and questions 
  • Ensure reaction to customer inquiries are timely, accurate and properly documented 
  • Follow and adhere to Company procedures and standards of performance 
  • Maintain a high standard of ethical and professional conduct at all times, while representing the Company in all dealings with potential and existing customers 
  • Travel, domestically and internationally, on a frequent basis
