Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to customers. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to handle heavy lifting, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Duties:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle (box truck, van, etc.) to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload items from the vehicle using appropriate equipment (pallet jack, dolly, etc.)
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and obtain necessary signatures or documentation
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical demands of the job
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with local routes and areas
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations is a plus
