What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Nursing position at Napoleon?
Primary Duties:
- Assists the DON to maintain and implement enhancements to the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Analyzes community performance metrics, trends, and clinical outcomes; recommends, implements, and monitors process improvement measures.
- Supports the DON to unite and collaborate with the Quality Team to develop clinical programs and processes to meet the changing needs of the customers we serve that result in positive outcomes.
- In collaboration with the DON, acts as a liaison between the residents, their families, and staff, responding to inquiries and providing information of nursing care and services. Supports with incident investigations, ensuring immediate resident/staff safety and delivery of care.
- Investigates allegations of abuse/neglect and reports, as appropriate, to proper organization leadership, authority, professional boards, etc. as required.
- Assists with doctor orders and doctor visits as well as wound care and treatment.
- Along with the DON, assists in the preparation of the nursing department annual budget, with oversight and recommendations provided regarding operating budgets of personnel and medical equipment purchases.
- Participates in internal and external community events and other activities to promote Genacross services and employees.
- Supports the management team with staff training and education.
- Assumes additional duties and responsibilities as determined by the Director of Nursing

Qualifications:
- Current State of Ohio RN License.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required; Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in nursing management strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with Matrix.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Education
Required- Associates of Science or better in Nursing or related field
- Bachelor of Science or better in Nursing or related field
