We are searching for an experienced Work Study - Office Assistant, Accessibility Resources at our Arapahoe Campus facility.
Position Title: Work Study - Office Assistant, Accessibility Resources

Job Summary:
The Accessibility Resources work-study employee will work to support the Accessibility Resources Coordinator with various office work and projects. This work will include filing, scanning and editing documents, tracking inventory, and working with different computer software related to assisting students with disabilities.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Create and maintain a positive team environment and behave professionally with everyone encountered in the course and scope of the job duties.
General office support including filing, scanning, and organizing.
Computer work in programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Assistive Technology platforms, etc.
Scanning books, articles, etc., and formatting them into accessible formats using Adobe DC software for students with disabilities.
Training in performing this task will be provided.
Special projects as assigned by the Accessibility Resources Coordinator.
Track all work and projects completed in the Accessible Information Management software database.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Student must be awarded federal or state Work Study hours by the Financial Aid office in order to fill this position.
Intermediate skills in computing and general technology.
Familiarity with Canvas, Google docs, and Adobe.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Interest in supporting the rights of students with disabilities.
Ability to create and maintain a positive team environment and behave professionally with everyone encountered in the course and scope of the job duties.
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Commitment to co-create a diverse and inclusive community and actively participate in related professional development regarding the dynamics of privilege and oppression and the impact these have in the workplace.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of and familiarity with Assistive Technology.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, various scanning software and basic administrative duties (copying, filing, fax, email, etc.).
Previous experience working with shared drives.
Previous experience converting files from one format to another.
Supervision Received
General Supervision: The supervisor provides continuing or individual assignments by indicating generally what is to be done, limitations, quality and quantity expected, deadlines and priorities. Additional, specific instructions are given for new, difficult, or unusual assignments. The employee uses initiative in carrying out recurring assignments. The supervisor assures that the work is technically accurate and in compliance with instructions or established procedures.
