Description/Job Summary
Seeking a UAS Pilot for our UAS Special Projects Facility in Ivyland, PA. Duties include the safe operation of Group 3 to Group 5 fixed wing UAS acting as Pilot In Charge (PIC) for both NASC corporate and customer assets. Ideal candidate will be trained to become qualified to operate both reciprocating and jet engine UAS. Pilot must ensure compliance with all FAA/DoD regulations in the safe operation of NASC UAS Programs. Candidate responsible for adhering to corporate policy in maintaining accurate and complete flight logs and records.
Integral team member during deployed flight operations; assists with set-up and breakdown of the mobile operations center (MOC) and antennas; operates ground support equipment, performs preflight and post-flight inspections; participates in all phases of the launch and recovery phases of flight.
Assist in performing aircraft technician tasks, such as scheduled/unscheduled maintenance. Supports the integration test and evaluation of new aircraft systems and/or payloads. Assist in the drafting/editing of test plans, aircraft operations and maintenance manuals, aircraft operations related reports and technical briefs.
Provides support and or executes shop duties when not on travel, to include supporting NASC RDT&E, systems upgrades, and aircraft integration and testing.
Travel will be required for this position.
