Technical Developer

Job Summary

This opportunity will leverage your technical knowledge to design, develop, maintain, and expand .NET applications and systems supporting our Investment Platform. The Investment Platform supports our Asset Management organization which manages proprietary and third-party capital.

To ensure success in this role, you must have a strong coding ability in VB and SQL, the ability to manage self-led projects, and experience in system debugging, code reviewing, and the development of operational processes and procedures.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Become responsible for the entire lifecycle of developing and maintaining .NET solutions in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Have proven track record of working with .NET applications and systems
• Be able to work in a fast-paced, agile work environment
• Collect requirements from business partners
• Maintain contact with external industry and technology groups and communicate trends and directions to corporate management
• Demonstrate a broad base of technical and business knowledge that can be leveraged across application teams
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• College Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Software Development, Software Engineering, Network Engineering or Information Systems
• 5 years of relevant work experience of coding with VB and SQL.
• Knowledge of agile project management methodologies and tools, architecture methodologies, standards and tools
• Prefer technical experience supporting Investment or Asset Management applications such as Allvue and Clearwater
• Drive to maintain knowledge and learning
• The candidate needs to have solid analytical skills and to be precise with their communications, especially in active listening and eliciting information from others
• Above average critical thinking and innovation capabilities; adaptive to changing business needs and approaches

The compensation for this position falls within Nassau’s salary band E:  $85,000-$100,000.
