Position Summary
Natera recently opened a new tissue lab in San Carlos, California and we are looking to build up the team! We are looking for a Histotechnologist who will help us develop SOPs and set up the lab for success. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is motivated about shaping the future of a new lab. The role will have an impact on patient care, making a difference for thousands of individuals.
In this role the Histotechnologist will provide assistance to the Oncology Signatera team by cutting, staining, and preparing tissue samples for pathologist review. The individual will also be responsible for participating in operations of a histology lab.
We offer several shifts that are accommodating to most schedules.

Primary Responsibilities
- Preparation of tissues and stained slides of a high quality.
- Troubleshooting of technical problems related to sample preparation
- Participation and compliance with state and federal regulations..
- Provide professional support for Clinical Trial team by means of accurate data collection, organization, and transfer.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associates degree and completion of a certified clinical program in medical laboratory sciences in histopathology or equivalent.
- ASCP certified HT/HTL.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Able to accurately understand and convey information to team members.
- Detail-oriented. Ability to think broadly about the importance of information.
- Ability to work independently.
