Financial Analyst

Are you a self-motivated Financial Analyst looking for an exciting opportunity to apply your skills and make an impact in a dynamic and fast-paced in-office environment? We’re seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our mission by providing critical financial analysis and insights to help drive key business decisions and ensure continued success. As a member of the finance team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the organization, including Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations, and Sales. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly financial reports, conducting variance analysis, and developing and maintaining financial models to support forecasting and budgeting processes. You’ll also monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and participate in ad hoc projects and analyses as needed. This role will provide ongoing support for key topics such as analysis and forecasting of revenue of a new product, with its associated demand, and capacity requirements, define associated capital and operating expense to generate business cases in key projects, provide facts to drive value-based decisions and support in finance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statements, forecasts, etc.) considering the company’s goals and financial standing
• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
• Analyze complex information, draw logical conclusions, and make sound recommendations to key stakeholders
• Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks
• Conduct business studies on past, future, and comparative performance and develop forecast models
• Identify trends, advise the company, and recommend actions to a senior financial analyst based on sound analysis
• Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
• Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
• Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about novelty in the field
• Consult with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making within the broadest scope
• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of proven work experience as a Finance Analyst
• BS degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel required (Macros, v lookups, pivot tables)
• CPG experience is highly desired
• Experience with integrated ERP systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with specific deadlines.
• Direct experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
• Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills
• Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis
• Well informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market and business environments
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
