Responsibilities

Human Resources Trainer responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Orientation of new hires

• Monthly retraining for all employees

• Additional training as needed

• Scheduling and preparation of all training

• Creates training material – including training films as necessary

• Record-keeping of all training in Excel spreadsheets

• Maintains Employee Qualifications lists – coordinates and communicates with supervisors

• Monitors the Random Drug Screen program

• Responsible for the organization and appearance of the Training Room

• Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position.  This is an On-Site position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Human Resources Trainer position should possess the following:

• Must have production experience in the leather tanning process
• 2 to 5 years of of leather tanning process experience preferred but not required
• Must have strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel as well as a working knowledge of HMS
• Must be committed to safety of all employees
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings to include weekends and holidays
• Conceptual/Analytical thinking
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving
• Leadership skills with the ability to effectively train and mentor employees
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and self-starter
• Maintain confidentiality
• Bi-lingual in Spanish strongly encouraged or must be willing to take classes
