Responsibilities
Human Resources Trainer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Orientation of new hires
Monthly retraining for all employees
Additional training as needed
Scheduling and preparation of all training
Creates training material – including training films as necessary
Record-keeping of all training in Excel spreadsheets
Maintains Employee Qualifications lists – coordinates and communicates with supervisors
Monitors the Random Drug Screen program
Responsible for the organization and appearance of the Training Room
- Other duties as assigned
This is a safety sensitive position. This is an On-Site position.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates for the Human Resources Trainer position should possess the following:
- Must have production experience in the leather tanning process
- 2 to 5 years of of leather tanning process experience preferred but not required
- Must have strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel as well as a working knowledge of HMS
- Must be committed to safety of all employees
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
- Availability to work all shifts, flexible hours, flexible days/evenings to include weekends and holidays
- Conceptual/Analytical thinking
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving
- Leadership skills with the ability to effectively train and mentor employees
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and self-starter
- Maintain confidentiality
- Bi-lingual in Spanish strongly encouraged or must be willing to take classes
