Field Service Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Immediate Hire Opportunity! An independent, locally owned and operated company providing sales, service and products to commercial kitchen and laundry facilities in Sarasota and Manatee County areas. Due to expansion, we are looking for dedicated, experienced installers and service technicians to repair, maintain, and install commercial dish-machines, manage inventory, and deliver products to our extensive and diverse customer base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Properly installs, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs commercial dish-machine and laundry equipment.

• Analyzes and maintains proper customer inventory.

• Provides emergency and scheduled preventive maintenance of commercial dish machines, on both scheduled daily routes and as needed for emergencies.

• Reads and interprets product usage to maintain proper customer inventory.

• Provides elite customer service and professionally communicates the service needed to customers.

• Maintains all safety standards and procedures.

• Works with minimal supervision in a safe manner at all times.

• Ensures that work is performed in a timely and professional manner.

• Maintains a professional appearance and work environment, including a neat and orderly work van.

• Completes all assigned paperwork and documentation as required.

• Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Must be able to Walk, Drive, Bend, Stoop, Kneel, Squat, Reach, Lift and engage in other physical activity.

• Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to analyze, retain, and solve problems.

• Ability to manage customer inventory needs.

• Must have a customer-focused attitude, with a high degree of professionalism, and minimal supervision.

• Must adhere to proper safety protocols.

• Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a background check.

• Able to work on-call after hours, over weekends, and holidays when necessary.

• Perform other duties as assigned or needed. Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required; and/or equivalent training and experience in commercial equipment repair.

• Previous service technician experience preferred.

• Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of plumbing and electric are required. Will train the right person.
