CAD CAM Technician

Our team is growing, and we are hiring a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Thoele Dental Lab in St. Cloud, Minnesota for a Cad/Cam Technician.

The regular hours for this position are from 7:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

• Read prescriptions, examine materials in pan, and make sure case is scheduled accurately according to the prescription.
• Scan cases and import I.O.S. Scans.
• Train to scan and design Crown and Bridge cases to create 3D virtual models utilizing 3-Shape technology with the goal of meeting production standard of 7 designs per hour.
• Calibrate scanners appropriately.
• Scan crown and bridge cases.
• Wand case batches completed every hour on the hour according to the documented procedure.
• Wear proper PPE when performing work tasks that require them and follow safety guidelines as stated in NDX safety policy
• Dewax and sort print runs when needed.
• Assist model department as needed.
• Clean work area in department per schedule
• All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required:

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

• Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have 12 months of experience or specified skills required for CAD/CAM Department or be a Recognized Graduate (RG) by National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.
• Regularly required to exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions using both arms and hands grasping, gripping, pinching, lifting, and carrying. Constantly lifting & carrying 0-10 lbs.
• Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information.
• Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color.

Experience

• 1 year(s): Experience or specified skills required for CAD/CAM Department or be a Recognized Graduate (RG) by National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory
