Monday-Friday, shift can be either 7:30-4:00 or 8:00-4:30

How you will make an impact:

The Funding Coordinator ensures that all documentation packages are complete, accurate and funded in an efficient and timely manner. The Funding Coordinator will be responsible for developing good working relationships both internally and externally and work to continuously improve the funding department processes. The Funding Coordinator is a full time, onsite position working Monday-Friday from either 7:30-4:00 or 8:00-4:30, at our beautiful offices in La Jolla/UTC.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Generates documents using Adobe Sign platform and addendums along with organizing and obtaining the required missing information to fund each loan transaction.
• Performs a thorough review of all incoming signed documentation including auditing and verifying documents for legitimacy and accuracy using company and bank guidelines.
• Apply fraud prevention techniques from training for each loan transaction.
• Executes verification calls with competitors and banks during an extensive due diligence process.
• Verbally confirms terms and conditions of contract with borrower and evaluate the integrity of each recorded call to ensure the borrower is the true signor on the agreement.
• Utilize the internet and other third party resources to verify and validate accurate customer and business information.
• Interpret a credit approval, understand how to clear credit stipulations and gather the proper supporting documentation to do so.
• Works directly with the sales team, brokers, and credit department using email and verbal communication to collect all items or information necessary to fund each loan transaction.
• Funds all working capital packages within a designated service level agreement determined by lead/supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 2 years of experience in an office and customer service environment.
• Possesses the ability to understand the structure of a working capital business loan.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Able to create and maintain strong, professional working relationships with internal sales staff, broker partners, and the internal credit teams. The ability to build and maintain credibility is essential.
• Strong, effective oral and written communications skills.
• Must be able to work independently and/or with a team.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and exercises solid judgment to complete assigned tasks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications, emphasis on Adobe and Outlook for email.
• Strong internet search skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software applications (Adobe/Word/Excel) and Outlook for email.
• Experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce (preferred)
• Willingness and desire to seek continuing education and self-improvement.
