Do you have a big smile and a great mind for organization? We’re seeking someone who loves interacting with guests and keeping our gift store humming. Summer seasonal or year-round part-time position available.
This position is hourly (non-exempt) at $18/hour as either Seasonal 40 hrs/week for 6 months (May-October) or as Part-time 24 hrs/week year-round. Weekend work may be required; overtime and evening work may be necessary in some circumstances to provide high quality guest service. This position has limited benefits. Seasonal housing is not provided except for a campground site with access to the communal bathhouse.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Trading Post:
? Warmly welcome all visitors; be attentive to visitor needs; answer questions and help visitors find merchandise
? Communicate with guests about Ghost Ranch property and activities such as tours, hikes, trail rides, etc.
? Process sales with friendliness and accuracy
? Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Trading Post inventory, including prices, new items, and availability; keep shelves stocked
? Maintain cleanliness and pleasing appearance of merchandise, displays, work area
? Accurately follow cash procedures at opening and closing
? Process online orders in a timely manner with appropriate tracking
? Assist with checking in and signing any invoices of merchandise deliveries
? Assist in conducting inventory
? Take on and complete Special Projects as assigned by the Manager
? Contribute to a positive workplace environment at the Ranch by acting and speaking in
a courteous and professional manner at all times.
Café:
? Ensure the café has fresh coffee and condiments available
? Monitor cafe’s cleanliness
? Prepare coffee for guests as requested
? Rotate stock, especially in the refrigerator; check expiration dates on food items
? Turn on/off Ghost Ranch history videos daily
