Manager, Data Quality

National Grid is hiring a Manager, Data Quality for our Customer Data Office. This role can be located proximate to our Waltham, MA, Syracuse, NY or Brooklyn, NY offices.

National Grid is hiring a Data Quality Manager for the Customer Data Office.This experienced leader will develop and own the data quality activities and products that ensure Customer data meets requirements to support key business initiatives such as clean energy management, smart metering, and digital acceleration.

Data Quality

• Maintain Data Asset standards; gather business rules for validating operationally critical and critical data sets
• Create, enhance, and support Data Quality Scorecards and root cause Pareto Graphs for the Customer business unit
• DeliverData Quality scorecard trainings to data owners, stewards, and extended Customer business unit teams
• Create stories for UI screen validations to ensure data is fit for purpose and consistency of data domains across platforms

Remediation

• Manage Data Remediationthat arises from ongoing review
• Manage Data Remediation activities by reviewing DQ scorecard results
• Ensure data remediation activities are aligned with IT and business stakeholders

Data Conversion

• Support requirements for major data conversions to successful completion
• Data Mapping review
• UI data validation
• Support business data validations after data conversion cycles

• Stakeholder management capabilities, including communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to engage with all levels within the organization.
• Experience managing people and projects focused on data quality
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills including presenting and training in individual and group settings

• 8 years of experience implementing data quality programs within large organizations
• BA/BS in a technical or analytical discipline
• Experience in utility, clean energy, and/or smart metering companies
• Experience with large-scale cloud data warehouse structures
• Experience with data management solutions to build data scorecards
• Proficient in data querying and validating data outputswith languages such as SQL or Python
• Ability to understand and interpret technical design and solution architecture documents
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence or equivalent tools
• Experience with:Informatica DM suite: EDC, CDQ, and Axon;Azure;Snowflake;Matillion;Alteryx;Power BI
