Position Summary

 

In this role, you will provide administrative support to the Chief People Officer (CPO) of National Life Group. Providing all levels of administrative support, you will interface with Management, Employees, Customers, and Board members.  This is a critical role in providing executive support the entire People Center.  Strong prioritization, communication and multi-tasking skills are essential in this role. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides timely and effective ongoing administrative support and assistance to the CPO
  • Partners with the PC leadership team on department and company-wide projects, initiatives and other needs
  • Composes, edits and proof-reads reports, communications and documents
  • Acts as a spokesperson for those being supported by building rapport between the leadership team and all facets of the business as necessary
  • Arranges and coordinates conferences, company events and outings, travel and lodging accommodation, meetings and performs other calendaring responsibilities as needed.
  • Ensures that CPO has sufficient time allotted in their schedule to address top priority initiatives
  • Plans, prepares and coordinates presentations and related materials   
  • Performs a wide variety of projects and related work as required
  • Office logistics including: ordering of office supplies, distributing mail, maintenance and IT requests
  • Coordination and participation in learning organization

 

Job Requirements

  • 5 plus years of high-level Administrative Support experience with a demonstrated record of success
  • College degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to a diverse population inside and outside the organization and be able to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Able to organize, plan, prioritize, and coordinate own work
  • Able to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions.
  • Work independently, with a high level of dependability, consistency and commitment
  • Must be willing and able to work more than a 40-hour work week
  • A general knowledge of insurance operations a plus
  • Must display a high level of initiative and anticipate the needs of the executives
