What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Representative position at National Oilwell Varco?
Seeking an independent, dedicated, hardworking, detail-orientated field service specialist for a drill string component manufacturing company located in Navasota, Texas. The primary duty of a field service specialist is to travel (foreign and domestic) to represent NOV Grant Prideco and service customer's needs related to NOV Grant Prideco products including proprietary connections, investigating reported product claims, assisting customers with information/resources.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to obtain an US issued passport
- Must have or be able to obtain HUET/BOSIET
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- A good understanding of Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic inspection Level II is preferred
- General understanding of API 5 DP spec 7-1 and RP7G applicable product requirements is a plus.
- Previous experience with quality control, gauge lab, auditing and basic understanding of oilfield drilling rigs is a plus.
Job description:
- Process all claims in accordance with NOV Grant Prideco's policy and procedures
- Investigate product and /or operationally related situations in the field
- Must be available for call out any time (24/7 on call)
- Coordinate required activities of both Field Service and Claims functions for the NOV Grant Prideco's Drill Stem Division including coordinating the repair of any defective material, replacement and/or credit issuance as necessary
- Coordinate all field service/claims activities and related service charges as applicable
- Communicate with customers and their representatives regarding technical application of product, field running issues, customer claim updates, etc.
- Ensure all claims and complaints are opened, tracked and maintained in the internal quality system
- Develop relationships with customers, 3rd party reps, etc. as necessary to facilitate successful resolution to claims and complaints by identifying and solving problems in a timely manner
- Coordinate the process of the repairing of any defective material, including transportation, tracking of costs, document final closure of claim/issue
- Provide onsite technical services on company product to customers
- Perform necessary inspection of products
- Assist in the running and handling of products at job locations according to applicable procedures.
- Maintain NOV Grant Prideco's and respective customer's confidentiality in all matters
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
