Summary
This position is located in Everglades National Park, in the Administration Division.

Duties
The position services Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades Parks and Big Cypress National Preserve. It is physically located at the Headquarters of Big Cypress National Preserve. Please visit for additional park information.

The Budget Analyst (Lead) is responsible for directing the daily operations and providing program direction and oversight to a staff of employees engaged in providing a full range of analytical, technical, and administrative duties related to formulating, executing, and monitoring financial plans (federal budget) and policies affecting the authorization and use of funds.

It provides consulting and advisory services during all phases of budget and related financial management matters for programs and projects for both parks; guides budget activities that involve innovative solutions to resolve budgetary problems, issues, or projects; formulates and establishes budgetary control procedures so that deficits are not incurred and appropriations and obligations do not exceed the approved apportionment for any period; and performs budget formulation and execution utilizing a variety of approved budgetary software.
