NSA Georgia is seeking an experienced leader and communicator to serve as the Chief of Strategic Communications. The selectee will be responsible for the execution of corporate communications at NSA Georgia in concert with Headquarter's strategy, policies, and procedures. The selectee will manage a small, diverse team of civilian, military and contractors that prosecute a critical communications' mission on a daily basis. Additionally, as Chief, the selectee will serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The selectee will be responsible for executing the following core functions of NSA Georgia's Strategic Communications Office: Consultation and Advisement: Serve as an advisor to NSA Georgia's leadership on communications messaging, services and products to achieve best outcome in promoting or achieving mission. The selectee will participate in NSA Georgia's leadership forums and act as a liaison to coordinate communications products and services from Headquarters and manage internally generated products specific to NSA Georgia's messaging. Communications Strategy: Develop a comprehensive NSA Georgia Communications strategy and plans that consider leadership-to-workforce/workforce-to-leadership, and workforce-to-workforce and communications. Marketing and Branding: Provide communications campaign plans as requested by leadership. Writing, Editing, Publishing: Plan, write, edit, and publish written communications to share organizational mission, programs, and stories with target audiences. Feedback and Assessment: Conduct communications effectiveness surveys to identify improvement opportunities and build metrics into the communication strategy/plan. Creative Media Services: Develop creative media products for use at NSA Georgia and posts in the corporate publishing warehouse for Enterprise usage. Web Solutions Governance: Facilitates the design and creation of NSA Georgia's organizational websites providing a framework for consistency and common user experience. Workforce Event Management: In partnership with the organization leadership, logistics and audiovisual multimedia personnel - advise in the development execution of organizational events (e.g. Town Halls, All Calls, promotion ceremonies, etc.)

Qualifications

The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to the considered for the position. SENIOR Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. Degree must be in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Writing, or a related field. Relevant experience must include at least 2 years in a communications or public affairs-related area (for example, writing, marketing, or public relations). Additional relevant experience may also include DoD/IC experience. Successful completion of the Defense Information School (DINFOS) Public Affairs & Communications Strategy Qualification (PACS-Q) Course can count for 3 months experience.

Outstanding communications skills and demonstrated success adjusting interpersonal style to effectively deal with a wide range of people and situations. Ability to make quick, informed decisions often in time-critical situations under stressful conditions. Leadership experience facilitating cooperation, motivation, inspiration, and morale within a team. A collaborative approach to working with critical partners internal and external. Demonstrated ability to grasp new concepts quickly, adept to a changing environment and manage ever-changing and competing priorities. Ability to develop communications strategies and plans.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

Salary offers are based on candidate's education and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position. Salary ranges vary by location and work level. This position is hiring for Georgia. Salary Range: $98,496 - $151,308 (Senior) On-the-job training, internal NSA courses and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee. Work Schedule: M-F, with basic 8 hr/day work requirements between 0600 and 1800 (flexible). Additional hours may be required for events.
