JOB SUMMARY
The Geographic Information Systems Analyst will use data, analytical, statistical, and programmable skills to build, analyze, and enhance the NWTF’s geographical information systems to support data-driven business decisions and increase information exchange with internal and external customers.
This individual will be part of the organization’s science and planning team and support multiple initiatives. The science and planning team supports vital areas of the organization, which include Finance (AP, AR, GL), Fundraising (including state and local chapters), Marketing, Conservation, Outreach, Development, and other organization users to support data-driven decisions and to increase organizational efficiencies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly work with the NWTF Data Scientist and Business Analyst to geographically represent information across NWTF platforms.
- Directly support NWTF’s efforts on the Wildfire Crisis Strategy
- Analyze NWTF focal areas and conduct nationwide habitat analyses within the NWTF initiatives and Big Six Regions to target high-priority areas for NWTF-specific conservation projects.
- Assist in compiling and analyzing agency partners' high-priority areas for targeting conservation partnership mission delivery.
- Assist in managing the NWTF conservation projects database and provide technical support to staff in supplying the data for this database.
- Identify high-priority areas for major philanthropic gifts by compiling and analyzing tax, consumer spending, demographic, and NWTF-specific major gifting data.
- Manage and maintain NWTF membership density for current and lapsed members nationwide.
- Support and assist NWTF staff in identifying areas for non-event membership marketing campaigns and targeting potential partnerships with retail and corporate partners.
- Support the NWTF in its field operations delivery by maintaining and updating the Regional Director’s territories, chapter/banquet location, and chapter membership density databases.
- Assist the business analyst in compiling and analyzing any field operations needs of the accounting department.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Extremely proficient in ESRI products
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products.
- Experience geographically portraying large quantities of data from multiple sources.
- Understanding and experience extracting data from Dynamics 365 CE (OData, Azure Data Factory, etc.).
- Some experience working with Tableau, Power Platform (Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Bi, Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules (Customer Service, Customer Insights, Marketing and working with data structures, entities, relationships, fields, and other data types.
- Good communication skills to translate ESRI products into Dashboards and Reporting.
- Attend the annual NWTF Convention, regional meetings, and training opportunities, as necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor or graduate degree in geographical information systems, business, engineering, geography, natural resources.
- 5 years of experience and familiarity with ESRI software/products.
- 2 years of experience with remote sensing techniques.
- Experience with AutoCAD, CAD, Javascript, Agile, Qgis, GIS, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or Geo Database software and systems.
- Ability to query and QA/QC large datasets.
- Experience using Microsoft Office software/products.
- Strong analysis, writing, and communication skills are required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.

- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for long periods
