Position Summary:
NYAP is looking to hire a thorough and resourceful Medicaid Billing Specialist to join our team! In this position, the Medicaid Billing Specialist works to complete, obtain, and process Medicaid billing for assigned programs by ensuring Medicaid eligibility, and assisting throughout all medical billing processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Service billing expertise preferred
- Knowledge of South Carolina Medicaid systems
- Must have good bookkeeping, computer and spreadsheet preparation skills.
- Knowledge of office equipment, including computers.
- Proficient in Excel
- Must be well organized and able to manage a large flow of reports and billing information in the state office.
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
OTHER SKILLS
- Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
- Must be comfortable with public speaking.
