Position Overview

Summary

The National Continuous Quality Improvement Manager is responsible for providing support, training and consultation to the National Youth Advocate Program staff and in particular the state CQI Teams while assisting in the implementation and monitoring of quality assurance and improvement plans. This position is responsible for utilizing reviews and ensuring licensing, accreditation, and certification requirements and contract compliance.

Responsibilities 

The National Continuous Quality Improvement Manager will perform duties including, but not limited to:

  • Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies
  • Provide training to new state level CQI employees.
  • Support state CQI Teams to meet compliance with state contracts.
  • Assist in creation/maintenance of master files of state specific needed policy and procedure requirements utilizing the organization’s policy management software.
  • Provide training and consultation to state level CQI staff and assist in the implementation and monitoring of quality improvement plans; licensing standards; accreditation; certification requirements and contract compliance.
  • Assist with the national re-accreditation process, including but not limited to:
    • Obtain, analyze, and report required data for re-accreditation process;
    • Co-write and/or edit COA Self-Study narratives;
    • Facilitate mock site visits and interview as a COA prep activity;
    • Support the CQI Department in oversight of Stakeholder Survey process;
  • Collaborate on the development and dissemination of the COA Corner videos and newsletter during re-accreditation planning years.
  • Lead and/or participate in national level workgroups as assigned.
  • Provide feedback to state CQI Teams, state leadership, and NYAP executive leadership to address the quality and appropriateness of services and promotes opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Collects and compiles data for reports regarding agency's quality advancement & improvement activities and performance including analysis of data and trends reflected over time.
  • Annually revise templates for state level CQI Reports and make necessary adjustment throughout the year.
  • Assist state CQI Teams with access and utilization of the agency’ electronic health record.
  • Work with the agency’s Director of Continuous Quality Improvement to implement and evaluate the agency CQI Plan.
  • Maintain the agencies compliance with HIPAA responsibilities and records management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Services and/or Business and Public Administration or a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of experience in quality assurance or program management.
  • Knowledge of contracts, Medicaid certifications, accreditations, and regulatory standards and rules.
  • Experience in technical writing, CQI related computer software, Management Information Systems, and analysis.
  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
