What Does a Receiver Do?
Complete research and resolve issues of incoming reconciliation of receiving/purchase orders and documentation- Complete daily receiving entries in the computer system
- Assist with inventory, including routing, maintenance and cleaning of inventory, racking, inventory cycle counting and reporting, and monthly inventory accounting
- Monitor all inbound shipments reporting
- Perform general housekeeping, maintenance, and organization of the dock and inventory areas, including hands-on cleaning and maintenance
- Coordinate with buyers, other departments, and outside vendors
- Execute plans to support Receiving Operations and the company's planned growth
What Does It Take to Be Successful as a Receiver?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Physical ability to walk throughout yards and offices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coordinate, plan, organize, direct, and control workflow and processes
- Problem-solving skills
- Self-starter mentality
- Previous receiving or office experience
- Ability to lift and carry weights up to 25-50 lbs consistently.
- Flexibility to bend, twist, squat, and reach throughout the work shift
- Results-oriented with the ability to serve customers with humility and be a steward of Nation’s Best’s values
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
- Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skills
Pay starts at $16/hr but is competitive based on experience!
