Overview

The Psychology Intern is responsible for providing age-appropriate clinical services to patients, participating in didactic experiences, and participating in departmental and other meetings. The intern rotates on-call coverage. Interns perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. All work is under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.

Responsibilities

  • Provide age-appropriate clinical services to patients of Nationwide Children's Hospital as appropriate. Clinical services provided include, but are not limited to, psychological and behavioral assessments, consultation, therapeutic interventions, and participation on clinical service teams.
  • Maintain records on all patients served in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage in clinical supervision and other training experiences as required.
  • Participate in meetings within the Department of Psychology and the hospital as appropriate.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED1. Matriculation in an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral program in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Note frequency as Constantly (67-100%), Frequently (34-66%) and Occasionally (0-33%) for each requirement. Also note any lifting requirements with pound limit.Sitting (Frequently) Talking on phone/in person (Occasionally) Typing on a keyboard (Frequently) Standing/walking (Occasionally)
