Provides assistance in clinical research under direction of research coordinators and investigators within the Kidney and Urinary Tract Center; obtains supplies and equipment needed for research projects; maintains laboratory records.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with set up and maintenance of study databases
- Enters, collects, and extracts data to and from internal and external sources to incorporate into internal and external databases.
- Maintains data accuracy and integrity of databases.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of data and hospital information (as protected by law).
- Maintains study records and completes required charts.
- Assists with preparation of abstracts and manuscripts emanating from database studies by collecting and analyzing research data. Prepares drafts of abstracts and manuscripts under direction of Investigators in The Kidney & Urinary Tract Center and conducts library research to obtain supporting research data. Prepares charts, graphs, and related data.
- Performs miscellaneous related duties
KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- High School graduate with two years accredited college coursework majoring in science preferred.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Percent of time spent on: 50% Typing on computer
- 25% Answering phones
- 11% Miscellaneous paperwork associated with research and OSU faculty appointment
- 10% Acting as liaison
- 02% Xeroxing
- 02% Filing
- 100% Kneeling / reaching
- 100% Finger dexterity
- 100% Talking / hearing / seeing
